Some Quick Tips for Writing an Ebook

Have you ever thought about writing your own ebook but just thought that there are already too many out there on that topic? My first piece of advice would be not to worry about what is already out there but only about what you can offer.

There will always be some information already available on your niche, but there will always be something else or something new to write about.

You might have some ideas or concepts that aren’t covered in other ebooks or perhaps there is newer, more up to date information available that you can offer.

If you think you have something to offer people then go ahead and write your ebook. Here are some tips to help get you started:

1. Choose a topic that you know about. It is so much easier to write about a topic that you know. When writing an ebook it is also more authentic when you really do know what you are talking about and can give genuine information on the niche.

2. Once you have chosen your product write down some rough ideas that you have for your book. Maybe write a list of topics that you want to cover within the niche.

3. When you know what you want your book to cover, then start doing some research to find out as much information as you can. Use books, magazines, newspapers and the internet to do your research, but don’t copy anything, you must write your ebook in your own words.

4. If you are not in the mood to write then don’t. Don’t force yourself to sit down and write if you aren’t in the mood, if you do you will find that you really struggle with your writing. When you are in the mood you will find it much easier to sit down and write.

5. Write from your heart and write what you know, it is good to keep it simple and easy to read. Give your readers a good quality ebook and they are likely to come back and buy from you again in the future.

6. Use a font size and type that is easy to read. Don’t use double spacing just so you can fill up the book and make it look longer, people aren’t silly and they know this is what you are doing. 1.5 spacing is fine to use but double spacing is a bit too much.

7. Once you have written your ebook, I recommend that you create an ebook cover. If you don’t know how to create your own graphics then you can hire someone to create one for you. Your ebook will look much more professional with an ebook cover graphic so it is well worth having one created.

8. The price that you decide to charge for your ebook will depend on how much information you are offering your customers. If it is just a short report then don’t charge too much for it. It is better to give your customers more value for their money than less.

If you offer your customers a good quality ebook you will have happy customers that are more likely to give you a good review and recommend your ebook to others. Remember, a happy customer can be a repeat customer!
